Independent Pharmacists Association of Ontario Congratulates Health Minister Caplan on New Role

Mississauga, ON, July 3, 2008 – The Independent Pharmacists Association of Ontario (IPO) today extended congratulations to Ontario’s new Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.

“We look forward to working with Minister Caplan over the coming months,” said Ben Shenouda, President, IPO.  “Ontario’s independent pharmacists understand how important quality, accessible health care services are to communities across the province, and wish Minister Caplan well in this exciting new role.”

The IPO is a non profit organization and is the “voice” of Independent Pharmacists across Ontario. The IPO’s Board of Directors is representational of its membership, a professional and ethnically diverse group of pharmacy business owners.  The IPO was formed in 2006 to ensure the sustainability and vibrancy of independent community pharmacies across the province.  IPO has over 1000 members representing over 600 stores -- and its membership is growing steadily.
